Our clinics may have had different names at one point, but they all started with excellence, hometown roots, and patient care in mind. Weatherford Physical Therapy (now Sports Rehab & Physical Therapy – Weatherford) opened its doors to the public in 1983 and has been the leading provider of physical therapy services in Parker county for over 30 years. Our Weatherford practice still maintains the expertise from a few members of its original staff – Tracy Ragle, PT and Betty Baldwin, PTA.
A little bit younger of a clinic, Stephenville Sports Rehab & Physical Therapy started seeing patients in Erath county in 1996. Two years later, the Stephenville clinic hired a young physical therapist, Mark Blackburn, PT, DPT and ignited his passion for physical therapy in the private practice setting. In 2003, Mark decided to add business entrepreneur to his resume and became an owner of both the Stephenville and Weatherford practices.
In 2007 and 2008, Mark became the sole owner of both practices, respectively. In 2011, Active Physical Therapy of Aledo, opened their doors to the public as the third. Since then, each clinic has been rebranded to Sports Rehab & Physical Therapy (SRPT).
In 2016, Mark was proud to welcome Derek Haney, PT, DPT and Brandi Wood, PT, DPT as partners. With the addition of two new owners, SRPT set new goals to serve high quality physical therapy services in more rural towns across north central Texas. In early 2018, SRPT was able to pursue that by opening our fourth clinic location in Hico, TX.
