Relief For Top, Arch, Heel, Ball & Side-Of-Foot Pain—Step By Step
When every step hurts, everything feels harder.
If you’re dealing with foot pain, you know it’s more than just a sore spot. It can slow down your walk, sideline your workouts, disrupt your sleep or make getting out of bed in the morning something you dread.
At Sports Rehab PT, we treat foot pain seriously—because we know how much it gets in the way of your life. Whether the discomfort is new or something you’ve been tolerating for years, we’re here to help you move easier, walk taller and step into your day with confidence.

"It Hurts Right Here…"— Understanding Where And Why
Every foot tells a story, and we want to understand yours. Here’s what we commonly hear from patients:
- It hurts on top of my foot when I walk. Often linked to extensor tendonitis — common in runners or people with tight calves or poor shoe support.
- The pain is in the ball of my foot. Could be metatarsalgia or nerve irritation from overuse, high-impact activity or poorly cushioned shoes.
- I have pain in my arch, especially in the morning. A hallmark sign of plantar fasciitis, particularly if it eases as you move throughout the day.
- My heel feels bruised but I didn’t hit it. That aching heel pain could stem from tight calf muscles or inflammation of the heel’s connective tissue.
- There’s a weird pain on the outside of my foot. Outer foot pain may involve a strained tendon, overuse or even compensation from an old injury.
- I have diabetes and my feet burn or tingle. Diabetic foot pain often stems from nerve damage (neuropathy) and needs special care and monitoring.
Even if your pain showed up suddenly and seemingly without cause, we’ll help you understand why it’s happening and what to do about it.
